COVID-19 Update

A Message to Our Community Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

More Information

While receiving the optimal treatments and therapy sessions is the most important part of a patient’s stay at HealthBridge Arlington Heights, proven evidence shows that improving a patient’s emotional health directly impacts the recovery process.  That’s why we strive to provide engaging activities that stimulate the minds of our residents and bring a smile to their faces.

Recreational pursuits help patients feel more comfortable in their rehabilitation environment while providing valuable motor skills practice and challenging patients mentally.

Currently, activities at HealthBridge Arlington Heights involve:

  • Puzzles
  • Music
  • Word searches
  • Book cart (mystery, romance, action, comedy)
  • Board games
  • Card games
  • Arts & crafts
  • Canvas painting
  • Movie time (action, horror, drama, romance, and comedy)
  • Adult coloring books
  • Manicures (basic nail polish)
  • Word scrambles
  • Zoom calls or FaceTime with loved ones
  • And on Sundays, we have SUNDAE FUNDAE – where we come to each room with an ice cream sundae!

Engaging with the Chicago Community

Unfortunately, the current situation with COVID-19 doesn’t allow for the same level of engagement for which we normally strive. But when we’ve reached the other side of this pandemic, engaging with our local community here in Chicago will once again be a focus of our activities. This may involve bringing local groups into the facility or taking small groups of patients on field trips to local events and attractions.
